1). Shifter #1 (Primary Shifter)

a). Transmission Shifter #1 Input Configuration = Designates shifter input type (CAN/PWM/Switch to Ground). Default: CAN Input

b). Transmission Shifter #1 Transmission Output Torque Limit = Number that designates the maximum allowable torque at the Transmission output shaft (0 to 31999 Nm/23601 lb-ft). Default: 65503 Nm/48312 lb-ft

c). Transmission Shifter #1 Minimum Forward Gear = Number that designates the minimum allowable Forward gear (1-6). Default: 1

d). Transmission Shifter #1 Maximum Forward Gear = Number that designates the maximum allowable Forward gear (1-6). Default: 6

e). Transmission Shifter #1 Forward Start Gear = Number that designates the gear of the Transmission will engage when the "D" button is pressed a CAT shift selector pad (1-6). Default: 1 

f). Transmission Shifter #1 Alternate Maximum Forward Gear = Number that designates the maximum allowable Forward gear when the Alternate Maximum Gear Switch is activated (1-6). Default: 6 (On this setting = 2).

2). Alternate Maximum Gear Function

The Alternate Maximum Gear feature allows you to set a second maximum gear limit for each shifter. The feature is activated by moving the Alternate Maximum Gear Switch to the ON position.

→Switch to LOW position (Refer to Figure 1.1 above) = TCM J1-40 (Alt Max. Gear #1 Switch)

→Transmission Shifter #1 Alternate Maximum Gear Switch Status = On

→Shift Lever Position/ Actual Gear = 2F (Refer to Figure 1.2 above, Transmission Shifter #1 Alternate Maximum Forward Gear = 2).

When the feature is activated in the auto shift pumping configuration, the Transmission will not force downshifts to the new top gear if the current Transmission gear is above the new top gear, but the Transmission will inhibit the upshifts and allow the downshifts until the new top gear has been attained.

When the feature is activated in the draw works configuration, the Transmission will shift directly to the new top gear if the current Transmission gear is above the new top gear and the Engine speed is less than 850 rpm.
