#To Accessing the Switch and Output I/O Test (Governor Control):

1). Enter programming menu option in the Information Center menu. Read More: Operating the Detroit Diesel Electronic Engine Commander (EEC).

2). By pressing the MENU switch, navigate to the Commander IO Test.

2). Pressing the INC or DEC switches. SWITCH and OUTPUT with blank displays as below.

3). Pressing the switch to test.

Press once, only displays the SWITCH input.

Press and hold, will displays both SWITCH and OUTPUT.

#Normal Operation:

→INC switch (INCREASE) - SWITCH: INCR / OUTPUT: INCR

→DEC switch (DECREASE) - SWITCH: DECR / OUTPUT: DECR

→IDLE switch - SWITCH: IDLE / OUTPUT: IDLE

→MODE switch - SWITCH: MODE / OUTPUT: MODE (refer to Figure 1.1 above)

→PRESET switch - SWITCH: PSET / OUTPUT: ---

If there is no data/ blank SWITCH or OUTPUT while pressing the switches, it indicates the suspect problems on the switch button (NOT PASS) or to make sure, please check the Connector Data (Information Center), to displays connection pinouts.
