Here the STEPS:
1). Connect DETROIT Engine (DDEC) using Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link (DDDL v6.46). Read More: How to Connecting DETROIT Engine using Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link (DDDL).
2). Once connected, open Diagnostics - Fault Codes menu.

3). Troubleshooting Help
DDC Code # (Flashed) = 48
#Troubleshooting Flash Code 48:
→Monitoring Fuel Delivery Pressure through Normal/Diagnostic Instrumentation on DDDL.
→In this case, at 1545 rpm (Fuel Delivery Pressure is 33.5 psi)
DDC Code # (Flashed) = 48
PID = 94
FMI = 1
DDEC Description = Fuel Pressure Low
#Description of Flash Code 48
Flash Code 48 indicates that the ECM has detected that the Fuel Pressure has dropped below a programmed limit. This condition is normally associated with a restriction in the fuel supply system:
- Plugged Fuel Filter
- Low Fuel Supply
NOTE:
→Not all engines use a fuel pressure sensor.
→For gas engines, code 48 indicates that the air inlet pressure has dropped below a calibration limit.

→In this case, at 1545 rpm (Fuel Delivery Pressure is 33.5 psi)

→This code is a mechanical fault. Check for reasons for low fuel pressure.
#Action recommended
→ Check Fuel Supply
→ Replace Fuel Filter (Water Separator, and Main/Secondary Fuel Filter)
#Fuel Pressure at Various Speeds
→Std. Engine Speed (rpm) and Fuel Pressure (psi/ kPa)
- 600 rpm = 15-22 psi (103-152 kPa)
- 1200-1300 rpm = 30-45 psi (207-310 kPa)
- 1800-2100 rpm = 65-80 psi (448-552 kPa)
